Getting There: From Choteau, take Highway 89 for 13 miles to the tiny town of Bynum. Turn west onto Central Avenue, go for a couple of hundred yards, and take a right onto Blackleaf Canyon Road. Drive nearly 14 miles on this well-maintained gravel road until you reach the Blackleaf WMA. Take a left and go 1 mile to the Blackleaf sign, take another left, drive about 1.5 miles. Take the right, drive half a mile, bear right, and go through the gate. And finally, after another 2.5 miles, you’ll arrive at the trailhead.
