Trial Run up Blodgett Canyon, Montana

Trail Running

What do you do on a trail that you’ve hiked dozens of times? You trail run it, of course. Following the course of Blodgett Creek, the trail running is both great and, well, challenging at alternating stretches. Large rocks and uneven trail surfaces mean that you best not gawk at the towering buttresses of granite that loom overhead.

We decided to go to the bridge and back for a respectable 6-mile run with around 800 feet in vertical. It was hot and Vida decided to run in a sports bra, and her back did a number on her back with some pretty sore road rashes.
