We’re in Hot Water: Hiking Goldbug Hot Springs, Idaho

Hiking,Hot Springing
We were at the start of a 3-day tour around (literally, around) central Idaho, and after leaving home in the early AM, we made Goldbug Hot Springs our first adventure of the trip. After missing the turn (south of Salmon, Idaho near mile marker 282 on Highway 93) once, we discover that it was not as busy as we had thought it would be for the Sunday morning.
The nearly 2-mile trail is in great condition with nearly 1,400 feet in elevation gain to the hot springs. The biggest draw to us is the infinity pool perched atop a cliff that affords a fantastic view of the Salmon River Valley below.

Pro Tip: Go early and beat the crowd.
